Well, I'm not doing so well with blogging frequently. As we speak, the kids are watching yet again, Tom and Jerry whilst eating a cheese wrap/tortilla and just finished off a plate of veggies and ranch. This morning Caleb had his 2nd little league basketball game. He had his first free throw. (but missed by a good 2 feet) Before this, I had yet to see any fouls called in this league of quadruple dribbling (actually, it's more like 5+ steps then a dribble in some players (no, not MY son)..but what's the 'ruple word for that??) Then with about 1 minute left of the game Caleb got a hard pass to the eye with set off some embarrassed tears. He is a good foot shorter then the other players being that I put him on a team that's for 1st and 2nd graders (and he's only in Kindergarten). Hopefully it will make him tougher? After bball the kids, myself and my friend, Angela went to Toys R Us to spend some Christmas gift certificates. Emory INSISTED on getting the Ariel mermaid dress no matter how hard I tried to persuade her otherwise. (She has enough dress-up dresses!) But, I gave in. After she tried it on at home (at little past nap time), she got SOO distraught. She thought her feet would go into the 'tail' instead of it just hanging off the back of the dress so to resemble a mermaid. Well, she didn't like that one bit! So we'll have to return the dress and get one of the thousand other toys I recommended in the first place. Then nap time. ahhhh. serinity. Even though I probably got a good 10 1/2 hours of sleep last night having gone to bed at 7:56!! When did I get so old?? It was a friday night too. Not that that makes any difference to me anymore.
I mentioned in my first post that I would write cute things the kids say so I will have it in writing to look back upon years from now. And I always forget to do it! Well, today, while playing fetch with the dogs outside, Caleb asked, "Does Marley still have black ritis in her back leggs?" And Emory says something funny every day. For example, she walks into the wall on accident, looks back and says, "nice." (which the possum says in Ice Age 2 - which my kids have pretty much memorized that entire movie..very funny for adults too, I must say)
Now, I wait for my hubby to get home. I'm going to my girlfriend's house for GAME NIGHT!!! Yayay. It's her birthday party too. And I was going to bring Leon, but being that he's been gone the last 2 days, doesn't particularly care for games (wha?!?!), and would be the only guy, I'll think I'll let him sit this one out :( But I'm still pretty pumped. I think I take my lack of playing competitive sports out on the poor people I play games with. So, sorry. Ahead of time. *cracking knuckles*
Maybe this week I'll start counting points again? I'm starting to feel the summertime pressure. I NEED the pressure. The 10K training is going alright. I "ran" 4 miles the other day on the treadmill as sidewalks are still snowed in. I'm "running" like a 10.5 mile.

till next time-
