Why I shouldn't be blogging right now...

It's 12:07 in the afternoon on Thursday and I have a few other more pressing issues that I should be doing right now..but just because I'm putting it off and looked at my site and realized it's been almost 3 months since I wrote on here...so, here goes.. ( you do remember I said I loved ellipses, right?)
I should be (not necessarily in order of importance): taking a shower (went to Y this morning. yay me!), going grocery shopping, cleaning the house, putting daughter down for a nap, (or better yet, teaching her how to write, read, playing with her, etc...*insert guilt here*), finish up planning halloween party for son's class and emailing parent volunteers...ok, now I'm overwhelmed. I think I'll stop here.
Let's see the last 3 months I (drum roll please), accomplished one of my New Year's resolutions: I "ran" the VA 10 Miler! I say ran but I did have to walk some of the last mile UP HILL. Yes, the race is a difficult one because of all the hills. (the last mile and a half is all up). But I did it in a bit slower time that I'd have liked (1:51:?) But, at least I did it.
What else..Well, it's mostly all 'normal' stuff I'm sure. OH -last weekend was homecoming at LU.. and a few girl friends came in town. That was tons of fun, hanging out with the girls (childless too!) Aaaand, tonight, I'm taking the kiddos 1 hr. away to see Disney on Ice! Princess Wishes. Is it bad that I'm a little excited for this too? I'm sure it'll be great. However, getting my son up for school tomorrow, not so much. It's going to be a late school night for us. Then, tomorrow, Em and I travel to Richmond for my cousin's baby shower on Saturday! Yay! I'll get to see lots of cousins and play games (the night before..like grown up games), and have all around good girl fun.
Ok..now off to do that list.Maybe I'll be back on here in a month or more?

August 3, 2010
So, I'm averaging 1 post per 2 months...not bad, eh? (Actually, I'm too lazy to look back and see how long in between the previous posts.) *side note: I'm finding it difficult to actually type out whole words and capitalize. My constant texting and email writing is messing with my grammar!*
Really, a lot has happened since I last wrote. Mostly summertime fun and a 3 week vacation to good 'old Sterling Heights, MI. Leon stayed home to work and the kids and I had fun with my parents. They took us on all sorts of fun day activities. It's really like a break from parenting for me. I don't really worry about feeding the kids and they're always playing something with Grammy, swimming, or going to pick up a paper or get ice cream with Papa. (actually, it's frozen custard, not ice cream - WAY better and none to speak of in Lynchburg :(
Just thought I'd mention... (you know, for record's sake) Both my kids are great swimmers! Caleb took a few years (as in 4) before he really gave it his all, but now he's jumping/cannonballing/diving off the off the 3m and 1m springboard, doing the 'freestyle' with his face in the water, sinking to the bottom, etc. (all with his manditory goggles on though -just like my brother David did.) And little Em has no fear whatsoever! I took her arm floaties off at the beginning of June just to see what would happen, and she hasn't let me put them back on her since. She too will jump off the 1m springboard (not tall enough for the 3, but probably would if she was allowed to), doing a 1 legged cannonball (from their memorization of "The Sandlot"), doggy paddles from the diving board to the side of the pool without help and swims under water with her Little Mermaid goggles.
**Side note: Mommies, don't let your daughter's precious curly hair get destroyed by constantly ripping on and off the rubber-banded goggles. Instead, take off the rubber band and sew on a thick piece of elastic, sized to fit. I learned from experience.*** I think I could market these comfy goggles in the little kid boutiques around here, no? Watch, next May, I'll see them and kick myself for not having more of an 'entrepreneurial' spirit.
Currently in Hill house: Emory just set up a "tea party" with all her plastic cups and such and dragged Leon and Caleb out to have a party with her. Me - on computer, duh!, and I just made a fabulous dinner and I even improvised some, which made me feel very top-chefy. It consisted of: 3 Chicken breasts cooked in skillet with about 30 whole cloves of garlic. Add 1/4 c lite Cesar dressing, 3/4 c Chicken broth, and some capers I had sitting in the fridge forever. Cook chicken and garlic for 4 min (2 on ea. side), then add liquid ingredients and cook another 4 min or so until Chicken is done. Then add about 1/4 c Parmesan cheese and let sit a few min. The sauce will thicken up and the garlic will become sweet and succulent! Some chopped fresh basil (from backyard) on top for presentation :)
Made a side of sauteed veggies (used all the veggies I had that were about to go bad) - carrots, celery, onion - drizzled with evoo, some sea salt, and fresh basil. Then I used the 2 leftover hotdog buns that lasted unusually a long time (b/c they were wheat!) turned on the broiler and made some garlic bread (with evoo, garlic salt and shredded cheddar cheese). Now, what to make for dessert??
Well, perhaps I'll post again before school starts? (Aug 23)

sweeping blisters

I decide the title for my blogs in about .2 seconds, so cut me some slack. I know..I haven't written in a really looong time. To my potentially 2 readers, I apologize (that one's for you Leon).
Today, my fam did some back breaking labor...we cleaned out 1600 pounds of stuff from our old house! (I know this because they weigh it at the dump so they know how much to charge you - roughly $32 in case you're wondering.) It took me several trips just to get organized as to what constitutes junk and what absolutely needs to be stored. So, after all this, today was the dump and sweep day...thus the two sweeping blisters on my hands. A bit more cleaning and shining and the old house should be all set for the new renters. It's so nice to have my brain storage empty (I had this to-do list in my head for weeks, and it's almost all checked off!). Know the feeling? Caleb helped with a lot of carrying of junk and was rewarded with a trip to the pool. This is his first day of "summer vacation" too. My little man is officially a first grader! Whew, time flies. (I say this, but yet can hardly remember his babyhood? It's hard to explain.)
My little almost 3 year old loved jumping off the diving board and sliding down the slide into the pool. She's so brave! She'll pretty much do any physical activity just to keep up with her brother. Then we came home and took a nap (Well, the kids did..I watched the Real Housewives of NY reunion on DVR. Great entertainment!!). Caleb said, "I'm not tired. I don't want to take a nap!" 1 minute later, I look in his room, and he's passed out on his bed draped over a toy. Mom's know best (well, you'd have to be pretty ignorant to not think a morning of physical labor and an afternoon of swimming wouldn't leave a 6 year old pooped.)
I figure it's easier to just explain a day's worth of activity instead of filling in the main happenings over the last month or so since my last entry. Si?
Currently at the Hill house: Caleb and Em watching ET, Leon watching "The West Wing" (his new bff) on his laptop with headphones and me sipping a Margarita (it's summer!) and catching up on FB (hello, we didn't have internet for 2 weeks?! Thanks VERIZON. you stink! Don't get me started...).
ahhhh. Life is good.
peace,
D

real quick...

I have a few minutes before I have to wake Em up to go read to Caleb's class...just thought I'd write this down because I thought it was cute and funny. Yesterday, I took the kids to Toys 'R' Us to to use some of their Christmas gift cards.. and Caleb and I were playing with this bouncy sky ball that doubled as a magic 8 ball. (you know, with that triangle thingy that gives answers). Well, I explained it to Caleb and told him to ask it a question. (Sorry dad, I know you never let us play with "magic" 8 balls growing up in the 80s.) Well, he was taking forever to think of a question, so I gave him an example - like "will I become an NBA player when I grown up?". But another minute went by and with such determination and a little shake, Caleb asks, "When I'm 17 will I have doodoo balls?" Now, to clarify what these are: They're little tiny dreads in black men's hair. balls. One of the high school basketball players that Leon coached told Caleb his hair was long enough for "doodoo balls" but Caleb's daddy said absolutely not - not until your 17!. This was like 6 months ago..and he's still thinking about it?! Crazy kid. Gotta love him.

" "

"Look, I'm being a Mommy" - Emory to me as she's brushing doll's hair and chewing gum she just took out of the garbage can (albeit an empty can).

"Bummer Dude, Bummer" - Emory replying to something Caleb said.

"Nice." - Emory after falling off my bed and hitting her head on the footboard.

and that's all I can think of right now...I MUST get better at writing the funny things my kids say and do.
oh..one more thing. Today, at the park, it was just me and the kids..so I'm up on top of the 'fort' where there's a bench and a steering wheel. And I'm pretending I'm flying a rocket with the kids. Apparently, I made it a little too real, because when I screamed that we were about to run into the the sun and burn up, Caleb forgot we were just pretending and screamed and fell off the bench! Ha. Lare. i. ous.

April 3 and 80 Degrees

Springtime is beginning to grow on me (da da dum). As a kid growing up in MI, spring was my least favorite season. Probably because it was still too cold to do anything fun and the blooms didn't impress me back then like they do now. And my birthday is in spring too?! Anyways, now that I'm so mature and experienced :P, I'm finding spring much more pleasurable. Lynchburg has tons of blooming trees and bushes, and it all starts so much earlier than in the north. So, this spring fever took me and the kids to Lynchburg Grows this morning. The first Saturday of the month is an open house and the kids and I had an awesome tour guide, Derek, who showed us the ins and outs of this non-profit farm in the middle of the city (right next to the city stadium and the humane society). The kids enjoyed feeding the fish in the hydropolic (sp?) tanks that they have to use the fish poop water for the plants. They also have chickens, roosters, a turkey, and a goat. I'm on the hunt for some baby bunnies/chicks/ducks to play with. I just now gotten a "lead" - at the Tractor Supply Store..We'll be visiting this place soon.
We bought some fresh free-range eggs that are currently baking in a lemon cheesecake that I'm taking to my mother-in-law's house tomorrow for Easter. I also bought a big bag of arugula lettuce.
Then we went to the Farmer's market and got some Mennonite bread and some more veggies. Maybe this can counteract the bucket of Easter junk food and candy the kids have already gotten and will be adding to tomorrow?
Is it bedtime yet? Currently in the Hill house: Kids are watching a movie, were just in a 'time-out' (don't get me started), I'm baking/vegging out and Leon is out watching the final March Madness basketball games.

Until next time, Happy Easter everyone (ok, you two).
HE is RISEN!!

6.2 aka 10K

Today I ran my first real race. the Ukrops Monument Ave. 10K in Richmond, VA. I'm pretty proud of myself, I gotta say. My goal was to run it without stopping to walk. Not so lofty, I admit..but I was starting from scratch. Well, sorta..not so scratch as in I work out maybe 2-3 days a week, but definitely wasn't doing any running. So, I ran it faster than I expected 1:01:40. That's just under a 10 min. mile. So, yay me! It was SOOO easy today! Boy, people weren't kidding when they said the "adrenaline" would carry me through. Although, I didn't feel any real "surge" of sorts (as in like bungee jumping adrenaline), it really was a piece of cake to run the 6.2 miles. I felt like I could have done another 2-3 miles. I type this into space to prove to myself come September that I am/should be able to run the VA 10-miler. (in Lynchburg- aka the HILL CITY). zoikes! That's the only part that scares me...the hills! Today's race was nice and flat. like me..haha!
Ok, I apoligize..I'm writing this 1 1/2 margarita's in. Yes, that's roughly 50 grams of sugar and I'm not sure how many calories. Hmm, I'm getting the feeling this post/blog is quasi Bridget's Jones Diary. (ie, keeping track of calories consumed, weight and cigarette's smoked) But without the cigarette's.
Meanwhile, at the Hill house, Caleb and Leon are watching March Madness bball (and have been for like 5 hours, Em is eating a slice of processed cheese while staying up way too late, and me doing (this), making drinks, making/eating junk food and cleaning random dishes thanks to my obsession with having no dirty dishes.
Dara oooouuut (think Ryan Seacrest seasons 2-8 or so of AI)

This picture is me and my cousin, Kelly, who ran the race with me and the 37,000 other people.

Time to update

So I'm not being consistent. I need to just come up with some sort of format that allows me to quickly jot my thoughts down -as opposed to this well thought out literary genius that I've been doing. (wha?!) Today, I let Caleb stay home from school because he was hacking so much this morning (and even threw up a bit - but I know that was just from all the nasal congestion he's got). I'm wondering if both the kids have a cold or they just have allergies? How can I tell? Well, I'm sure missing a day of kindergarten here and there can't hurt..although he did miss his last violin practice before their "mall concert" this Friday. So, we did a couple errands and went to Target, then the kids napped while I made a super cute "EMORY" pillow. Pictures to come. I'm currently eating oven fries - my portion and both kids portions. I think I have a binge eating disorter. Either that or the part of my brain that tells you when your full is not functioning. Yes, that must be it :) Anything good on TV lately? I'm watching AI - not so impressed so far and looking forward to DWTS only because of Kate Gosselin and Jake the Bachelor...or used to be that is.
Well, I feel like I'm "talking" to a wall. Sorry this is so boring. Peace.

Day 2 of weight watchers

So, now that it's almost March, I've realized I really have to start this 'diet' NOW so as to be where I want/hope to be for summer. Day 2 of counting points (again). I just keep telling myself the first week is the hardest and eventually food won't be the main thing I'm thinking about. So, back to drinking my large glass of Cabernet (4 points).
Currently in Hill house: plumber is fixing leaking pipe in bathroom (sucks to be him! 7:25 on Friday night), Caleb and Em watching Pinocchio. Leon on laptop with headphones and me on ye 'ole desktop. Caleb got to come home early from school with a stomach and fever..hopefully it won't turn into stomach bug that I hear is going around. He seems quite fine though.
Tomorrow is Caleb's 3rd little league basketball game. not sure what fun we'll get into tomorrow, but I always look forward to a full day off with the kids and nothing really pressing to do. Oh wait..that's pretty much every day of my life :) Lucky me. No, scratch that. How BLESSED I am.
I was just commenting on my sister-in-law's blog ( http://helpyourselfblog.com/) about the 8th deadly sin (yes, there were 8 in the original list during the 4th century) - sadness.
I think. No, I know I'm blessed to be naturally cheerful. At least I think I am! That is definitely one thing I don't have to work at - trying to be cheerful and not chronically sad or continually complain. I never really thought about it before, but read a devotional recently about it. I don't mean to deny the afflictions of others and I am grateful and thankful to not have any dire sadness currently in my life. But here's the thing I need to work on: looking beyond my circumstances (whether that be sorrowful or joyful) and look to the vision of joy that awaits me. (Heb. 12:2)
You alone, Lord Jesus, can true joy impart, For You know the sorrow of the human heart; You came here from glory that heart to win And in love for sinners suffered once for sin. - Anon. (taken from Daily Bread)

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Well, I'm not doing so well with blogging frequently. As we speak, the kids are watching yet again, Tom and Jerry whilst eating a cheese wrap/tortilla and just finished off a plate of veggies and ranch. This morning Caleb had his 2nd little league basketball game. He had his first free throw. (but missed by a good 2 feet) Before this, I had yet to see any fouls called in this league of quadruple dribbling (actually, it's more like 5+ steps then a dribble in some players (no, not MY son)..but what's the 'ruple word for that??) Then with about 1 minute left of the game Caleb got a hard pass to the eye with set off some embarrassed tears. He is a good foot shorter then the other players being that I put him on a team that's for 1st and 2nd graders (and he's only in Kindergarten). Hopefully it will make him tougher? After bball the kids, myself and my friend, Angela went to Toys R Us to spend some Christmas gift certificates. Emory INSISTED on getting the Ariel mermaid dress no matter how hard I tried to persuade her otherwise. (She has enough dress-up dresses!) But, I gave in. After she tried it on at home (at little past nap time), she got SOO distraught. She thought her feet would go into the 'tail' instead of it just hanging off the back of the dress so to resemble a mermaid. Well, she didn't like that one bit! So we'll have to return the dress and get one of the thousand other toys I recommended in the first place. Then nap time. ahhhh. serinity. Even though I probably got a good 10 1/2 hours of sleep last night having gone to bed at 7:56!! When did I get so old?? It was a friday night too. Not that that makes any difference to me anymore.
I mentioned in my first post that I would write cute things the kids say so I will have it in writing to look back upon years from now. And I always forget to do it! Well, today, while playing fetch with the dogs outside, Caleb asked, "Does Marley still have black ritis in her back leggs?" And Emory says something funny every day. For example, she walks into the wall on accident, looks back and says, "nice." (which the possum says in Ice Age 2 - which my kids have pretty much memorized that entire movie..very funny for adults too, I must say)
Now, I wait for my hubby to get home. I'm going to my girlfriend's house for GAME NIGHT!!! Yayay. It's her birthday party too. And I was going to bring Leon, but being that he's been gone the last 2 days, doesn't particularly care for games (wha?!?!), and would be the only guy, I'll think I'll let him sit this one out :( But I'm still pretty pumped. I think I take my lack of playing competitive sports out on the poor people I play games with. So, sorry. Ahead of time. *cracking knuckles*
Maybe this week I'll start counting points again? I'm starting to feel the summertime pressure. I NEED the pressure. The 10K training is going alright. I "ran" 4 miles the other day on the treadmill as sidewalks are still snowed in. I'm "running" like a 10.5 mile.

till next time-

Thursday, February 4, 2010

I was about to write the lyrics to "Sitting on the dock of the bay" as my intro..but then realized how off it was to my current moment. I wanted to convey the lazy feeling I have at the moment but then realized a.) it isn't even close to being summery outside (more on that later) and b.) there's no "waisting away" of me, unfortunately as "New Year's Diet" seems to have fizzed for the time being...as I drink my coffee with half and half and eat my buttered homemade pumpkin bread. The kids are in my bed watching Tom and Jerry (again). That's their fav. show by far at the moment. And it's something they can agree on to watch together. Caleb hasn't had school all week!! (They call it snow days, but really it's more like "If-the-secondary-roads-are-still-a-little-icy-in-the-morning days.") Don't get my wrong..I like when he's out. It's not like I have to go to work and find child-care. Oi.
So, it's off to the gym to hopefully "run" 3.5 miles with 0 incline on the cushy treadmill to continue my "training" for the Ukrops 10 K for which I signed up. (Notice I didn't end that sentence with a preposition? - Does that annoy anyone else? Does sound a bit awkward though, eh?)
The 10K will be held in Richmond on March 27. My cousin says it's nice and flat. She better be right!
On that note - my dog finally got her polyp removed yesterday!! Yayaay. And just about the time I was going to finally take her in, she somehow sprained her "wrist"?? So, she's all better now. $640 later...
Oh..and before I close...We're getting another snowstorm tomorrow (Fri) and into Saturday! A couple days ago the VDOT rumor was 15-30 inches?!?!? But now I think it's more like 9".
Stay tuned. I may be buried alive. Which means I'm off to the madhouse a.k.a Kroger.

Snow Day

So about 5 days after the last bit of the big snow-plowed mound of snow melted, we have an even bigger mound today! It's about 12 inches and counting so far. Today only a high of 19*, but tomorrow's supposed to be high 37* and sunny. See, that's the difference between VA and MI winters..MI, it would be grey, black piles of snow until April. Here, not so much:)
So, now that I've got the weather report out of the way on to Hill Family Adventures. Well, the Girls just joined the Boys for their first "expeditioning" adventure. (Yes, I see now that that's not a word, but that's what Caleb and Leon call it.) Caleb loves when his dad takes him into the woods across the street (because the back yard woods aren't big enough now). They take along their "grub" (random candy and Oreos usually) and hike over the creek and up and down steep hills all while looking for "bear" tracks and whatever else seems interesting. Today, the girls went along...did I mention we have about 12-13 inches of snow right now? Well, we went across the street (with both dogs too!), climbed down a hill, over a creek, then up "Mt. Hill." WHEW!!! We made it to the top with much ado. Most 2 1/2 year old couldn't even fathom this feat and most parents of 2 1/2 year old wouldn't consider it either...but it was fun. Ask me tomorrow when I'm sore from carrying Em home on my shoulders. We took the long, flat way back and let the boys slip down Mt. Hill.
So, we're all back home, unthawing watching Snow White and now I must make dinner. *Side note* Does anyone else's husbands wear long underwear? (and really enjoy wearing them?) Long underwear as in the butt has a flap that buttons. Think "Old Man Tucker".. I'm thinking this should be unusual, yes?
Time to make the tea for father-daughter tea party :)

nothing new

So, I've been waiting for something interesting to happen for me to blog about...but since that hasn't happened, I'll just blog anyways...this is supposed to be a "real" reflection of my life anyways for me to look back on years from now to see what life was like way back when.
Today is MLK Jr. Day. Caleb had off school and we went to two parks. I walked with the kids about a mile away to a church playground, spun my kids around the merry go round (you know, those are quite hard to come by these days. And teeter-toters (sp?) are extinct, f.y.i.) Other mom's probably think I'm crazy for swinging my kids as high as they request to go on the swings, and spinning them till they fall down from dizzyness on the spinny things. But whatever..they like it and it makes them tough, right? Then it was home for lunch (well, I sorta make random foods at random times of the day since we have a weird dinner schedule with Leon having bball practice at all times of the evenings.) Em took a nap then we went to another park...since it was high 50s today!! Take that Michigan! Then (how bad is it for an English major to start several sentences with "Then"? I DO know how elementary that sounds..but I don't care...just trying to get this down before the boys get home and bedtime routine begins). So as I was saying...THEN the boys went to bball practice, Em and I went to Angela's (my friend), now she's here in preperation to watch THE BACHELOR. Lovely run-on of a day, eh?
I do believe I am once again splurging on the diet (more on that another time? basically I'm "OFF" the diet..but have still been working out and feeling much more guilty, at least, about the 'bad' food I've been ingesting.)...and making carmel popcorn to watch The Bachelor tonight. YUM!
peace. D

live strong

So, I've been tracking my caloric input and output at Livestrong.com (it's free). It's been one whole, long, week, and I've lost a total of (drumroll......) nothing! Can you believe that? Maybe this is my body's way of telling me I'm perfect just the way I am? ha..don't think so. My wise owl of a husband tells me not to worry about the number and just go by clothes and how they fit. Well, in that case, maybe they feel the tiniest bit better? But I can't tell if it's just because I need to do laundry to "shrink" my stretched-out pants?
Also, it's tempting not to plug in every tiny bit of "exercise" I do throughout the day just so I can eat more. Did you know sitting in church burns 44 calories?
At least I'm more consious of what I'm putting into my mouth.
In other news...um....uh....not much going on this last week or this week...my hubb's leaves for a business trip this Thur-Sun...wonder what the kids and I will do to pass the time? I'm not big on staying in all day.
Since this next topic blends so well, anyone know how to get my 2 1/2 yr. old to want to poop in the toilet? She's peepee trained, but not poopoo. I always know she's poopin' when she's under a table or in a closet. That's her fav. places. (yes, she still wears pull-ups).
G'day.

The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love

Seriously? CHEESY is the best word to describe what will be this entire season of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love (including its title). Bare with me on this one. I've been a fan of the show for the past few seasons..not missing an episode, but I haven't seen many a bachelor from the previous years. I KNOW it's fake and very produced, but I still find it quite pleasurable to watch. I couldn't believe "they" picked Jake to be the bachelor "because of all the fan mail requesting him." Yeah right! Ok, I just deleted the list of adjectives describing how annoying he is to me, but on the other hand I think it makes for an entertaining show...just roll with it, ya know? Let's just point out some of the most memorable highlights from last night's season premier.
A.) He CAN NOT throw a football. SO Girly. uck! *my friend, Angela, and I had to replay this several times and each time it looked worse. Then we got the professional opinion of my husband and he was in shock, and then quickly left the room. and by the way, didn't it look like he was lying when he told the chick he played football in highshool? (yea, maybe like 9th grade when everyone made the team and he sat the bench the whole time)
B.) Jake has some sort of eye spasm....let's watch for it some more, shall we?
C.) He repeats the question before he can think of something to say.
D.) That crazy girl! Although it's probably all editing.
E.) the one chick with the face that didn't move
F.) Are breast implants a prerequesite to be on the show?
And my prediction as the winner is... (drumroll please)...Tenley... the divorce' who's husband cheated on her, he's the only guys she's kissed (besides Jake last night) and the disney princess impersonater. They're perfect for each other, yes?
Let me know your thoughts.

Resolutions

Just so I have it in writing... does bloggin it make it legal? I hope so! Here are my 2010 resolutions (beginning on Sunday...or maybe Monday - that would be the 4th of Jan.)
1.) Read through the Bible in one year
2.) Loose 15 pounds (by exercise, portion control, eating Natural foods)
3.) Work out 4 days a week
4.) Date night every 2 weeks with the hubby. (hmm, beginning to doubt this one already?)
5.) Take 1 master's level English class (which means applying and getting accepted)
6.) Run in VA 10 Miler

Whew...a few of these seem a little out of reach (10 Miler, Master's Class), but definitely doable.
*side note* my dog Lucy has the worst gas!! They're silent killers! Be glad you're not sitting where I am.

Currently the happenings in my house are as follows: Leon and Caleb watching a Giants game in the bedroom and hooting and hollering (but I think it's an old superbowl recording - Caleb gets so into it!) and Em is topless after having just drank a mug of hot chocolate while watching Ratatoulle (sp?). She's enjoying hopping up and down to hear the fluid in her bloated stomach jiggle. Said Dog, Lucy, sprawled out next to me letting them rip, and Marley a safe few feet away as to not be blamed. Oh, and me: just played a rousing 4 games of solitare on the computer, made a "Woman's World" recipe of Chocolate Latte spiked with Leon's whisky...still have to say, I'm not a whisky fan (or any hard liquor for that matter), and mentally preparing myself to start said diet tomorrow.

Till we meet again...
[
